REFORMED in Doctrine

We stand firmly in the stream of the Protestant Reformation, confessing the absolute sovereignty of God over all things - including salvation. We believe that the Bible is the inerrant and sufficient Word of God, the final authority for what we believe and how we live. Our teaching emphasizes the “Five Solas” and the historic confessions, pointing always to the finished work of Jesus Christ as our only hope in life and death.

LITURGICAL in Worship

Worship is not a concert or a lecture; it is a covenantal meeting between the Triune God and His people. We follow a historic, structured liturgy because we believe the way we worship shapes what we believe (lex orandi, lex credendi). Our services are characterized by the singing of Psalms and hymns, reciting the Apostles Creed, confessing our sins (corporately and privately), the preaching of the Word, and the weekly celebration of the Lord’s Supper, all conducted with reverence and joy.

COVENANTAL in Life

We believe God’s promises extend to us and to our children. This means we view the family as the basic building block of the church and society. We don’t just “attend” church; we live as a community bound by covenant promises. With the discipleship of our households, we seek to bring every square inch of our lives under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, beginning in our homes and extending throughout Iwakuni.
